Author Moreman (1770-1812)

Author Moreman (1770-1812), recognised as one of the greatest meteorologists of all time, released a paper on the consistency of Cumulonimbus clouds on July 13th, 1807, two hundred years ago today. The principal finding of his report, entitled “A Study of the Consistency of Cumulonimbus Clouds” was that they carry rain and have the same consistency as whipped egg whites. Author Moreman died at the age of 42 in late August, 1812.
